August Stamp Club Saturday

Hi Stamp Clubber's,

Our workshop is this Saturday 11:00-2:00 and here are the cute cards we are going to make. Like a simple black dress these designs are made from black cardstock which is a basic staple we have in our supply stash. The pop comes from the bold colors we pair with the black and white color scheme.

We are also going to be using some of our new bird stamp sets. New rubber!... how much fun is that going to be? We will be creating two great cards and then a shelf sitter. A shelf sitter is made from chipboard and is a decorate piece made to sit on your recipients shelf or desk to remind them or your friendship. These can be mailed with, or in lieu of a card.

If you can come to the free workshop (everyone is invited just call or email for more information!) please bring with you, your basic stamp supplies including scissor and adhesive. Also bring with you;

  • Blending pen (I only have a few of these to share so please bring with you!)
  • Black ink pad
  • Adirondack ink pads; sailboat blue, lettuce, pool, red pepper, butterscotch, citrus, espresso, clover, watermelon, sunshine yellow.
  • paper cutter

Also bring your appetite I will be cooking lunch for all you as well.

If you pre-ordered the new Cuttlebug embossing folders most of them will be here by Saturday. Who ho! It is not too late to sign up.

Back to School!

Can you believe that school has started already here in GA? It seems a bit early to me as it is still so hot, but the up side is that they do get out of school in early May. It is tradition to snap a few photo's before the boys go off to their first day of school and this year is no different. Here are my guys.

Alec, 7th grade 12 years old

David 3rd grade, 8 years old

Sean 3rd grade, 8 years old (twins)
Jackie our cat had to get in on the action... or is she smelling David's spike?

Girle Birdie Samples

Hi stamping friends,

I was able to "play" a little bit with the new Girlie Birdie stamp yesterday and boy does she stamp out great! I used the brights shimmer chalks to color her in and I really like the look. If you want all the specifics of the products I used to make these cards you can go to the website http://www.thestampingstudio.com/ and then click on the link "Studio" to get all the information as well as tons of other samples from all of our stamp sets.

New Products added

We just added a few new items to our store that we are excited about! First up are Nestabilities die sets from Spellbinders. These die sets can be used with most die cut machines. I use them with my Cuttlebug and they work great! You can find our 4 sets in the "Cutters, Scissors, Cutting Systems" section of the online store; http://www.thestampingstudio.com/

We also received from K&Co. Peppermint Twist paper pads that come with all 12x12 double-sided pattern cardstocks some of which are glittered and flocked! All of them are gorgeous. In the same patterns we also have in stock Peppermint twist collection that has all of the paper glittered. These are also double-sided as well. These are going to make some beautiful Christmas projects. You can find these products in the "K&Co. section.

New Stamps - Sneeky Peeky!

Hi everyone,

We had a great time at our workshop this past weekend, and this weekend I am working on a special project for my eldest son Alec... a pool party! Alec turned 12 years old and we will celebrate it tomorrow (Saturday) with family and friends. Alec requested a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, yummy!

I just took the cake out of the oven and thought I would take a few moments to let you all know that we have 6 new stamps sets in the works. Yea!... fresh rubber. I will be giving you Sneek Peeks every couple days so be sure to check back here for those. I am not sure when these will be here, but my best guess is 3 weeks. I will keep you all updated!

Here is our first Sneek Peek stamp set "Birdie Gang"

This is a 3 image set that measures approx. 4x4 and is all trimmed out, mounted on EZ Mount cushion and comes on a clear index panel perfect for long term storage. This set will also fit into an empty CD case, which is how I store most of my sets.

Let me know how you like the new images!
