The 4 new stamp sets from Millie Dawson-Hardy and Brooke Smith are now available in the store in the sections "New Rubber Stamps" and "READY SET STAMPS" and they are all so stick'n cute!
Here is the set "Fay" that I just had to rip open the package, stamp and color! I love how she turned out. I know you are going to enjoy playing with these new stamps!

New stamps due today!

Check out these 4 new stamp sets that should arrive here in the Studio today! The first 3 are from a new artist Millie Dawson-Hardy who happens to be one of our design team members. Won't these be fun to color using our Copic markers? I can't wait! The 3rd stamp set is from our artist friend Brooke Smith who does our FOTM and SOTM sets amoung other things. Love that owl!

Sorry to not post a card of the day yesterday but my Internet went out... I will try and post one today for you, and I will defiantly let you know when these new stamp sets are available in the store for you.

We are having a stamping workshop here on Saturday and everyone is invited... and it is free.... and we even feed you lunch for free. What more could you want?!!

Just RSVP me as soon as you can melissa@thestampingstudio.com I have plenty of supplies cut so if you can't let me know until the last moment that will be OK this time.

Hope to see ya here!

Card of the day 3/23/10

I just got a shipment of SEI pattern papers in and they are so stick'n cute! Here is one of the designs that I had to quickly rip open and use on today's card. It is from their Happy Day collection and I will work on getting all of these papers added tomorrow for you and let you know when you can order them.
I used one of our U Trim stamp sets today called "One Hip Chick" and it is on sale for over HALF price! There is a typo in this set, so that is why I reduced it even more. (just don't use that saying) These little chicks are just so cute and you also get the bird feed, and some bird feet prints (claw prints?..feet prints?) and a cute little flower for them to stand next to. How about adding some glitter to these chicks for Easter or even better some yellow flocking!
You can find this set in the store section 4 Sale/Close-outs, which is almost the bottom category in the store. www.thestampingstudio.com

Card of the day 3/19/10

Here is a similar card to the one I posted yesterday using the same pattern papers and supplies but in a 4x4 flap card. I like making these little cards as they are an interesting size but you can still mail them in our normal A2 size envelopes.

If you are coming to our next Stamp Club workshop next weekend (March 27th) this is one of the projects we will be creating. I hope you can join us and please RSVP as soon as you can. Hope to see you there!

Card of the day 3/16/10

This is a fun card to make... and to receive! It is using the "Kiss me, I'm Irish set that is on sale for $2.98 and already trimmed out for you. I know this is too late to use this year, but at this price you might want to grab it now and use it next year. The background is white ink stamped using the solid image and then the black lined image over it. It really pops on the red cardstock.
This card front has a little mini card on front that contains the inside message. Then it is tied up with a sheer ribbon.

Kiss me, I'm Irish set on Sale!

This cute little St. Patty's set is on sale for $2.98 down from $5.95. It is a U Trim set, but I have actually already trimmed these out for you already. I sat down one night in front of the TV and trimmed them all out so you can stamp with them right out of the package. Yea!

Card of the day 3/15/10

Here is a cute little card (4x4) that we made as a make-n-take at the paper crafting convention/crop this past weekend.

Thank you to everyone who attended the event and stopped by our booth. It was so great to meet you all and see you excited about stamping and our stamps. It gets me all inspired to make some more rubber images for everyone to play with!

Card of the day 3/9/10

Here is another card by Patti... it might be hard to see in this photo but Patti did a modified Spotlight technique. She used a circle die/punch to cut out a circle from the flowers and them pop-dotted it over the main image. Great dimension and very clever!

Card of the day 3/8/10

Sorry this is a day late but the cute card is worth it I think! I met Patti at the Heirloom convention in Lawerenceville GA and she bought some of our Photo Stamps and made today and tomorrows card using these fun stamps. Great job Patti!... it makes me want to get my Photo Stamps out and play.

The Paper Crafting Extravaganza convention/event is this weekend and I am busy getting everything ready for it. I will have 3 make-n-takes for the weekend... one each day so stop on by, visit with us and make a fun project.

Friday, March 5, 2010

I am looking for helpers for the Paper Crafting Extravaganza next weekend in Perry GA (near Warner Robbins - below Atlanta) The convention booth hours I need help with are Friday 12-6, Saturday 9-6, and Sunday 9-4, and I will compensate you for your help! Please email me if you are interested melissa@thestampingstudio.com Thanks!

Card of the day 3/5/10

A pink dragon.... why not?! How fun is this "she-dragon" with her orange wings. That is what is so much fun about rubber stamping... you can use any colors you want.

The saying is from our "Chandelier" set and reads "You light up my life" Ha!

Card of the day 3/4/10

Today's card of the day, again uses the set "Don't Tickle The Dragon". The dragon is just so cute and I have been having fun with it. I used three squared design for this business envelope size card, and another of the cute sayings; "if you can't take the heat, don't tickle the dragon" These fun pattern paper colors from GCD Studios are making me hope spring comes soon!

Card of the day 3/3/10

Hey everyone! Here is today's card of the day using the dragon from Brooke Smith's set Don't Tickle The Dragon #RSSBS29. This set has some really funny sayings including the one on the outside and inside of the card.

I colored the image in using copics and even added some scales using the blending pen. I did this last night while watching American Idol... I love that show how about you?

Card of the day 3/2/10

This is another white on white card for todays card of the day. It is hard to see the details but it has a die cut window through the front with transparency glued behind it. I like these white on white cards but think I need to use some "color" for tomorrows card! I can't wait for some warmer temps... how about you?

Card of the day 3/1/10

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes for my Grandma Richter. She was truly a one of a kind lady and was just a wonderful example to her family.

I am back in the studio this morning for your card of the day... which came out a little small this morning. I must have re sized it a little to small. What you can't see is the that the card base is embossed which gives this white-on-white card some great dimension.

Some of you probably already know that my husband and I opened a coffee shop in our small town of Lincolnton almost a month ago. Well today is the Grand Opening/Open House from 4:00-6:00 with a free tasting menu. So if you are in the area stop on by and celebrate with us. We are going to have a ribbon cutting and everything!
