Photo collage

Hi everyone... sorry no card of the day today as I had to go to jury selection at the court house this morning, so no time to whip out a card. I was not chosen this time but will have to return Thursday as they have another trial.

So instead of a card I thought I would show you my photo collage wall that hangs in our main living area. I change it out a few times a year, and sometimes I do scrapbook pages and other times I just feature photo's. This time I featured our little dog Noel as a puppy when we brought her home last Sept. I used www.picnick.com to edit my photo's and give them a fuzzy appearance. I know it does not show on these photo's of them, but up close Noel looks very fuzzy and oh so cute! I heard about this site from a friend of a friend and it is really cool so go check it out... lot's of cool effects.

I will post a card tomorrow for the card of the day program so please check back, and thanks for your continued support everyone!

BTW, as some of you may know, Noel is our special needs puppy who is deaf and is vision impaired. So we paired her up with our coon hound Marble who has become her "hearing eye dog" Ha!

Card of the day 4/23/1- kinda!

Well this isn't really a card, for the card of the day but it is cute and the 3rd project we are going to make at the workshop tomorrow. (Come on and join us if you want!)This cute little porcupine is holding a cup of tea and this little project holds tea bags... how appropriate!

He is from the "Little Prickly" stamp set by Blair Lambert, and by the way... we are working on new stamp sets from her. Yea! The porcupine is colored with Copic markers(big surprise right?!) and then I added some dimension and shine with Crystal lacquer.

Here is the inside

And the inside front cover reads "A cup full of wishes for a tea-riffic day!

The die cut at the back is for you to write a personal message.
Cute Hugh?... and a great inexpensive giftie to give someone to let them know you care and are thinking of them.

Card of the day 4/22/10

This card was made using most of the same pattern papers and cardstock as yesterday, but I used on of our Sweet Of The Month stamp sets instead "Doughnut". Who wouldn't like to receive a calorie free treat in the mail like this?
I like the saying that comes along with the large and small doughnuts.

Card of the Day 4/21/10

The card of the day features our set Coffee Bird and my new embellishment "ribbon knots". I stamped the bird and then trimmed out the body using a craft knife and layered the pattern paper behind it. .... I think I need another cup of coffee!

Card of the day 4/19/10 Shadow Box Card

Today's card was created using Brooke Smith's set "Birthday Rory". Rory is this cute little bird that is feature in other stamp sets as well.

Have you ever made a shadow box card? It is really pretty easy and gives you lot's of opportunity to layer and get all 3D with it. Here is a tutorial from the blog on how to make these; http://thestampingstudioblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/shadow-box-card-tutorial.html

Here is my new favorite embellishment - a button with a knotted ribbon on top.

Here are the Copic marker colors I used to color the images: greens; YG00, YG03 blues;BG01, BG05, pinks; RV02, RV04, yellow for beak Y11

April 24th Workshop

Here are two of the projects we will be creating at our next Stamp Club workshop Saturday April 24th. Everyone is invited and besides being FREE we also serve lunch.
These projects are a cute little cupcake box and I am even going to make my chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting, to put inside your finished box. Then we will make a coordinating birthday card that you can use along with the cupcake box or my it self. Don't you just love this little Hoot owl by Brooke Smith?
Please email me for more information or to RSVP for the workshop; melissa@thestampingstudio.com I would love to have your RSVP a week before the workshop if possible.
