Happy New Year everyone!

I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to an exciting new year to come. First of all I would like to invite you all to a workshop on Saturday January 22nd from 11 - 2. EVERYTHING in the store is going to be on sale!

After much consideration and praying I have decided to close down The Stamping Studio. We have had a good run since 2001 and have made so many wonderful, life long friends. Thank you all for your friendship and support and it has just been a wonderful learning experience for me and my family and has just been plain fun! So thank you so much.

I will still be having the free workshops until my stock is gone. What that means for you is great deals on everything that is left! So starting with this next workshop the whole store is going to be on sale. Please feel free to invite family and friends and help me to liquidate.

The workshop again is January 22nd, so if you could please RSVP by the 14th that would be most helpful. I will have finger foods here but not a full spread for lunch. If you want to help out and bring something that would be great, but don't feel obligated. We will not be having hostess program anymore.

Just in case you are wondering I do not plan on going into hibernation... I am working on my next business venture/adventure in my head right now and doing research. As many of you know I love photography (that is how I got started scrapbooking which lead me to stamping in the first place!) so I plan on having a line of products that include photo's on them, including photo jewelry, and canvases, albums, etc... I also plan on offering photography services so you have a photo of yourself or loved on to put on these products. Right now I have been practicing a lot!... and would love to have some subjects to photograph, so if you are interested let me know. This would be just a fun thing to do (no charge) just for me to practice and you would get some free digital photo's from the experience. Thanks for your consideration!

Christmas Card Workshop

Saturday November 13th at 10:00am is our Christmas Card Workshop here at the Studio. This is one of the most popular workshops and we would like you all to join us! We will be making 5 easy but super cute Christmas cards/projects. After you make the 5 projects, you will have the opportunity to make more of your favorite cards for a small supply fee... so you could come and get most of your Christmas cards made! We will also have a few giftie projects for you to make as well, for a small supply fee. On top of it all we will feed you... what more could you want? The workshop fee is $10.00, if you bring a friend just pay $5.00 each. The workshop will last until about 3:00 - 4:00pm, and longer if people are still busy stamping.

Where? The Stamping Studio is located at 1022 Choctaw Drive Lincolnton GA 30817, which is about 2.5 hours from Atlanta and 45 minutes from Augusta, 45 minutes from Greenwood SC.

What you need to bring? Bring your scissors, adhesive and all the supplies you use most when you are stamping. Some things I use a lot are; foam dots, paper piercer, pencil and ruler, etc...

But Melissa I have never been to a stamping workshop, what if I don't know how to make the projects or have the supplies? These projects are not going to be complicated and have written instructions on each table, also we have very helpful stampers that will be happy to help you, along with myself. As far as supplies, I have one of each tool, stamp, ink pad, marker etc... that you will need on the table for everyone to share.

I hope you will come and bring a friend, and please let me know if you have any questions at all!

Isn't this a sweet card? I used my Crafters Companion to do the scoring and they call this a mini accordion card. My son David gave me the idea to to a window through the front.

Does the stamp look familiar? Well it shouldn't because it is a new image for us in a new stamp set from Brooke Smith. This set will be available soon, and I will keep you updated. It "will" be here for the Christmas Card Workshop Saturday Nov. 13th.

New Products!

I just got through adding some great new items to the online store. I am really excited about how shiny, glittery and sparkly these all are. Diamond Dust is kind of like glitter but instead of being made from plastic it is actually ground up glass shards. This catches the light more for more sparkle appeal. Just use your favorite craft glue to adhere this.

These are Sparkle Fibers and I would describe it more like sparkly fiber confetti. I am thinking it would look great added to snowflakes! Again, just use your favorite craft glue to adhere. Come in these 3 colors; disco ball, snow drift and blue icicle

New ribbon! This is a 3/4 inch wide twill strip and it is light weight which is makes it easy to knot and tie bows with. 3/4" is just a little bit wider than most of our ribbon which tends to be 5/8"

The top color is pine green, and bottom is celery.

Red and black.

I am really excited about these new ribbons which May Arts calls Sparkle Velvet. It is not really soft like velvet but the texture is soft and easy to knot, and the other side is so sparkly you are gonna love it!

Silver and dark silver, which is like a gun metal color

Stickles have been very popular around here so I ordered a bunch of them this time around. They are cheap, easy to use and really give a great glittery-ness to your projects. At $1.95 for a bottle you can't go wrong!

Today's project is another paper pumpkin... a large one! I used the larges paper I had which is 12x12 and cut the strips 2x12, and used 2 sheets of paper to make 12 strips. I love it! What a great centerpiece

David volunteered to be my model... isn't he cute?

I used some glittered fabric flowers that we just got in for the top (you can see Saturday if you come to the workshop, or next week when I add to the internet store) and then satin ribbon loops, and those cool suede leaves from May Arts ribbon... they come attached to each other on a spool just like other ribbon and is $1.50 for 2 yards.

Stamp Club this Saturday!

Hi Stampers,

Don't you love this fall weather? I am excited to share with you some fun fall themed projects at the upcoming stamp club workshop this Saturday Oct. 23rd. We also have some fun new embellishments for you and those great clear treat boxes that you all wanted at the retreat last month that we used to make the marshmellow snowman. (project was posted on Facebook and the blog last month)

So that I can make sure to have enough supplies on hand, and the hostess know how much food to bring, please RSVP as soon as you can (like right now after you read this). I really appreciate it!

Don't forget to bring with you, your basic craft kit including scissors and adhesive... the rest of the supplies we will share.

I can't seem to stop making these take out coffee cup cards!

Here is one for the holidays made using our Sentimental Christmas stamp set that includes the rounder.

I cut apart the saying "be jolly" and placed them on my acrylic block on a slight curve that works great around the rim of the card.

Here is the take-out coffee cup card I told you about. This is a fall themed card using stamp sets; What's Brewin & Regular Joe. So many possibilities with this template!

If you attend the next Stamp Club Workshop this month (10/23/10) you will get the template. It is not too early to RSVP for this workshop.

I sprayed some white paper flowers with Glimmer Mists to match my pattern paper. I just love Glimmer Mists don't you? We just received a shipment of these in the studio the other day... although these colors above are from a couple years ago.

Yesterday got a little away from me (sorry no card of the day yesterday)... I unexpectedly was asked to run into the city to pick up supplies for the Cafe we have in town (Lincolnton) and then we had gymnastics, soccer practice for one boy, soccer game for the twins and then a onto the Cafe to celebrate the twins last game and that they were undefeated this year. Yea!

Here is one of Dionne's stamps from last year that is one of my favorites... it celebrates how we celebrate with a home cooked meal with family and friends. This was colored using Copic markers.

Here is a fun little number made using the sets; Hidden Path (back in stock!) and Autumn Icons.

This is a smaller version of the stair step card and you cut the base 4x6 and score it 1,2,3,4, and 5". Fold that all up and it is the base that you glue the other pieces too. For the scene I first rubbed VersaMagic ink onto white cardstock to make a background then stamped the image on top in brown ink.

Stamp some leaves and cut them out, then stamp the word "Fall" onto white scrap, punch out with circle punch and rub with some more ink. Fun easy card!

Today's card is one we made in a class at the retreat (sketches class) and it uses our Awareness Ribbon set that I just put on sale for 75% off! I have a "revisited" project for you today from Suzanne Milam. She used our FOTM Snowdrop to decorate this mini loaf of bread. Wouldn't that be a great gift?

Unfortunatly my printer is on the fritz and won't allow me to upload any photo's from my camera's photo memory card, and it won't let me print anything either. Arggg! Especially since I want to show you a photo of our new kitten.

I started to drive into Augusta (nearest big city - 40-50 minute drive) but the rain is just coming down to hard today for my liking so I think I will hunker down in the Studio and do a little cleaning up and maybe some creating. :)

I have so many wonderful projects to show you from our Scramping Retreat this past weekend! The projects below are from our Unders Swap. What is an Unders Swap you ask? You may have participated in one of these swaps before maybe at Christmas time and basically it is a swap where you can open a gift or go steal one from someone who has already opened a gift. Really fun!

The "Unders" part comes in play when we the projects to cost "under" $10.00 to make, and take you "under" 2 hours to create. You also were required to have a stamped image somewhere on the project even if it was just a stamped tag. This is a stamping retreat after all!

The gifts below are all so wonderful and I know a few took more than 2 hours to create, but I won't mention names!!

Erin made this apron and I want one too! Her gift came in this cute box that has a stamped image cleverly adhered inside.

This is Mimi's bag that reads "pick me" (LOVE that!)

Here is her card organizer that was filled with the cutest cards. I am going to show you all the cards here tomorrow.

Dana made this cute box that holds an array of wonderful tea. I was the proud recipient of this gift. (Thanks Dana I love it!!)

Jan stamped up the insert for this great travel mug. Notice the cute acorn bells.

Norma made a decorated tin that contained these magnetic memo boards. The one featured here she decorated using paper napkins, and that little gold sun is a magnet!

Here is another decorated tin and magnetic memo boards created by Lynn. I think I "need" some of these memo boards don't you?

Yours truly made this gift of a mini canvas and easel with a cute owl on it with matching card, and then the towels inside the box have the cutest owls embroidered on them (a score from Joann's!).

A great chipboard album made by Judy. Judy showed us her album like this that she uses to keep track of all of her stamping supplies including ink pads, dies, Copics, etc....

Kay painted and stamped this cute pot (she is the Stickle Queen) that she filled with everything to pamper yourself including scrubbies, incense and such.

Pam made these pretty cork trivets. Aren't they great? I used these in my kitchen all the time and had not even thought of stamping on them.

Thank you to all who participated in the swap... it was so much fun and what great inspirational idea's we all got from it!

Here are photo's of the class I am teaching on Saturday @ 3:30. Yes! that is new BoBunny pattern paper Olivia collection and if you are going to be at the retreat you get first dibs!

We are also going to use the new Sizzix/Tim Holtz die "Caged Bird". Yes!.. you can use it in your Cuttlebug and I will show you how. So that means you can use most Sizzix dies in your Cuttlebug.

Oh and lookey what is inside the segmented drawer... chocolate! Hmm... does this mean I will be sharing candy in the class? You will have to come and see!

These cute Christmas projects are from last years Christmas Card Workshop. This is a super fun workshop and is on November 13th this year. This perky penguin set is too cute! We have an easel card, and a candle holder and a little treat box, all "matchy-matchy". I just love when everything matches... don't you?

OK... Marble was just so cute today with her rawhide chewy in her mouth and her tongue sticking out... I just had to take her picture. She was afraid that Noel was going to steal it, even though Noel was in the other room chewing on her own.

Here is a fun project from Scramp Retreat 2008. Punch or die cut a shape from shrink plastic, then stamp it up, punch a hole and shrink it. Attach it to your plastic cup by punching a hole in the cup, and thread a cable tie through both. We re-used these cups through out the weekend or you could just cut the cable tie and attach it to a new cup every day.

Today's card of the day is a Sneak Peek stamp set! This is another Fernanda Friends image that I colored using Copics. The pattern paper is BasicGrey Oliver line and although it isn't a Christmas themed line, it is perfect for this don't you think?! I believe the new stamps will be here tomorrow or the next day. I can't wait!

No stamping on this one today but it is a Sneak Peek of the Friday night class I am teaching at the Scramp Retreat next month.

It is a gorgeous flower made in the style of Tim Holtz Grunge flowers. The patina is made with Glimmer Mists or any other type of shimmer ink sprays that are out on the market.

I will show you how to treat your cardstock to make it more pliable and to have it holds it shape and then how to snip, curl and glue into this great flower. In this class you will make your own flower and also go home with a sheet of prepared paper to make some more at home.

First I should tell you that I did not make this cute project and not quite sure who the stamp is made by, but isn't it cute? In addition to having a workshop this weekend, we also have a wonderful stamping group staying at the house next door (Henry's House we call it because we bought it from Mr. Henry who has passed on) they are going to be stamping and scrapping all weekend and also attending the workshop. Any-hoo... one of the sweet ladies made these for everyone (including me!!!) isn't it cute? It holds fibers, ribbons, and glitter. LOVE IT!

Here is another mouse from artist Blair Lambert... and it is holding a take out coffee cup. How cute is this. Some of you may know that Husband and I opened up a Coffee shop/Cafe this past December in our small town, so this little coffee cup mouse is special to me.

I used more of BasicGrey Oliva pattern papers, some felt flowers ribbon and of course satin ribbon and rhinestones. This new set will be available next month at the Scramping retreat. We are really gearing up for that and the just posted the class schedule to this blog in the upper right corner (see the link?) or just look at the post below this one.

Grunge Flowers – Tim Holtz style- $6.00 fee
They are 3D, molted, shimmery, and will make your projects really stand out when you add to it one of these beautiful flowers. I will show you how to prepare your cardstock with Glimmer Mists and Modge Podge, then how to cut, bend and glue your way to a really unique flower.

9:30am – Calendars and more calendars! - $12.00 fee
In this class I will show you how to make two cute calendar projects that are perfect gifts. One is an easel calendar that is great to sit on your desk, and another is on a bookmark… bet you didn’t see that one coming. How unique!

1:00pm – Slider Cards - $12.00 fee
We will be making a Traditional Slider card and also a Hidden message slider card. You will have a chance to master this technique that is really fun and inter-active.

3:30pm – Segmented Drawers & Cabinet - $12.00 fee
We are going to make a cute drawer, I am going to teach you how to make segments inside the drawer and then a clear sleeve to go over it. The segments are really compartments to hold all sorts of goodies in, and then the sleeve will keep it in place. We will put the drawers together to form a cabinet. How cool is that?

Do you ever get in a slump and need inspiration? Well following a card sketch can really help you out. In this class you will learn more about card sketches, where to find them on the web, and then make 4 card using a sketch as the foundation and then mixing it up a bit.

This is a total sneak peek, and I really shouldn't be showing you this, but I was so busy cutting papers and materials for the upcoming workshop this Saturday I did not have a chance to whip out a card for you.

So I am showing you a Round Robin project that I designed for our upcoming Scramping Retreat in Sept. I normally do not show the Round Robin projects as I want them to be a total surprise. So SURPRISE. Ha! This is a sleeve for a mini compact that we are going to cut, score, stamp, color and bead. Yes that is why it looks a little funny in the photo... the front of it has clear micro beads on top which looks very cool in person. Of course I had to add some google eyes as... who can resist google eyes?

The compact says "perfect" on the top, which I think is perfect.

I can't wait until the retreat, and we still have room so come join us and make more cute and fun projects like this!

I am so excited to show you these cute projects! We are going to make these at the workshop on Saturday... and did I mention how cute they were? Ha!

First you will make a couple paper strawberries that hold a chocolate kiss inside them. These strawberries will never go bad!

Then you will lean how to make this cute basket that include the hearts on each end. They are scalloped hearts that we will cut using the Cuttlebug and the dies from spellbinders.

Here is today's card! Another Sneak Peek stamp image from another new artist. This is from our new Caddy's Characters line. She is fun and funky and defiantly needed some pink involved. This is another 4x4 card and it is really fun to create in this size.

I also want to share with you my "girls"... while photographing this card I snapped a few of Noel (white Aussie Shepard) and Marble (Plott Coon Hound). They keep me company in the Studio, and I love having them here.

I know I have mentioned picnick.com before, and just want to repeat that it is a great site to edit your photo's in. You can even add this great frames to your photo's and print them out like this. Cool huh?

Does this stamp set look familiar? No?... well that is because it really isn't a stamp yet! Yesterday I finished up on getting the artwork ready for 6 new stamp sets. YAY! I am so excited about the "soon to be" stamp images that I had to make a card with one. I chose this image from a new line called Fernanda's Friends by artist Fernanda. Isn't she talented?

I used my Copic markers to color her in and also found a card sketch online to follow for the base of my card. I love all those layers! Do you like the pattern paper? It is from BasicGrey and I will be adding to the online store hopefully today. (I will let you know) It is double-sided which gives you lot's of options.

I used an existing stamp for the inside sentiment of this 4x4 card. It comes from the stamp set "Sky's the Limit" from Brooke Smith. I thought it was perfect as this friend is lifting up a pumpkin.

I also wanted to share with you a tip I got from the lady who taught the Copic Certification class I attended. Did you know you can use your Copics to color your rhinestones? I have found that the better quality rhinestone the easier it is. I had these crystal rhinestones that are a very light celery color, and I used my dark orange Copic marker to tint them and they look great on the card and totally match. You may have to color a few layers on, and normally the coloring will be light, but now you can color your bling to match your cards. How great is that?

Today's card was made using our set #RSSMIL2 Joy. Not only do I love the sweet girl but also the two sayings that come in the set. In fact I use the sayings a lot more then the ballerina girl, so I figure I am getting my moneys worth!

I use my Copic markers to color her and then some more paper piecing like I did yesterday.

Happy Monday y'all! Today I went to my stamp cabinet, closed my eyes and randomly chose a set to play with and I came up with this one Regular Joe. I really love to paper piece this set... so that is what I did!

I am sorry y'all that I did not get a Card Of The Day posted yesterday. I had to pick up my son a little early from school and drive him into Augusta to the doctors. He has had a bad cough and sore throat since he returned from his missions trip to Honduras. He has an upper respiratory infection that he probably caught on the international flight. So he started taking anti-biotics yesterday and he is already feeling a bit better today.

All that to say that I did not get a chance to make a card yesterday! Today I am working on finishing up the getting ready for a workshop I am holding for a stamp club that meets together, near Atlanta. I will leave early in the morning tomorrow so would like to be packed up this evening. I am also taking product with me. I am excited to be taking my show on the road and teaching some fun project this this fun group of ladies. So I don't know if I will get a Card Of The Day out today either... but I am going to try. :)

Today's card is a slider card. I just love me a slider card! This one was stamped using the Branch Collage set, and the new Owl Of Us set. I also used the new Sizzix embossing folder that creates this great wood texture. Yummy!

You get to use 2 sayings/wording on this design pulling up from the top and bottom. How fun!

Yes I have my card of the day project uploaded early! Well, that is because I made it over the weekend, and since today is the 1st day of school I am getting up a little earlier with the kids.

This is one of those "Inside Flap" cards. They are really easy to make, but give you something a little different to work with, and more area to stamp and create on.

I used Brooke Smith's, Sky's The Limit stamp set with those pretty clouds that I can't stop stamping with. Brooke did all the lettering herself for the 3 sayings in this set. LOVE IT!

Here is the backside of the card. (Do these polka dots make my backside look big? Ha!... OK inside joke with my Husband)

1st day of school!

I can't believe it is the 1st day of school! It is a tradition in my household to take your photo with your book bag on the 1st day of school. If you were here and going to college, on your 1st day of school, we would slap a book bag on you too and take a photo. It is also tradition to post those photo's here on the blog... so here ya go! My 3 sons! No there is nothing wrong with my camera... I was just messing around in picnick.com, and they have these fancy "effects" that you can use on your photo's. It is really fun and I liked how these look...kinda "old" school.

I hope all your kids have a good school season this year, and you take and scrapbook lot's of photo's! You won't regret in years to come when you can look back and see how little and cute the kids were, and what funny outfits they wore (look at Sean!!) and the hairstyles. It is going to be super fun to tease them later. Ha!

Here is a photo of our 17+ old cat Puffin. She is really a "Grandma Kitty" now, but still white and fluffy and thinks she is a princess. I don't know how much longer we have with her, but I thought I would celebrate her today on the blog. (I hope you don't mind)

Here is a card I made while back with our God's Basket set. I really love the saying that comes in the set "Faith is putting your eggs in God's basket & counting your blessings before they've hatched".

The base of this card is chipboard and then an easel was made and glued to the back. The easel folds flat for mailing and then the recipient can enjoy it by placing it on their table or desk at work.

Yes I realize that I am posting this project today, with yesterday's date on it... and that is because I forgot to post it! I posted it on Facebook and then totally forgot to post it here on the blog. I am such a doorknob sometimes! It could be that I was distracted by running off to meet Husband at the Chinese food restaurant (Yum!) and then taking the twins to middle school open house. They are growing up so fast! School starts Monday here. OK, so this project is something I have been working on for a workshop that I was invited to hold near Atlanta for a stamping group. I was so flattered that they wanted me to come and wanted to come up with some great projects and this is one of them.

It is basically a drawer but "pimped-out"... is that OK to say... "pimped-out"?! You know what I mean though right? Ha!

So I took the drawer and added sections to it. How fun is that? You can add anything to the sections... for this design I think chocolate is totally appropriate... in fact needed!

To keep that chocolaty goodness from escaping I also added a clear sleeve. (told you I pimped it out!)

I used our SOTM (Sweet Of The Month) set Truffles for the top of the box and the accompanying saying. Chocolate brown ribbon, foam to make it 3D, and a few rhinestones set the stage for this fun project.

You say you want to make one too?! Well good!... this is going to be a class at the upcoming Scramping Retreat in Sept. Sign ups will be soon, and I will let you know all about them when ready. Along with this drawer, you will be able to make a couple more designs and combine them for a chest of drawers. How fun is that going to be?

Today I combined 2 of my new favorite sets for this fun card; Sky's The Limit, and Owl Of Us. Two of the owls are floating away on the kite from Sky's The Limit set. Too fun!

I also paper pieced some clouds. The paper is from GCD Studio's and the reverse side is the red/white polka dot which is too cute.

One of my new favorite things to do for embellishment is to glue rhinestones on to the ribbon.

On a personal note, my eldest son Alec received his birthday gift today (if you remember he turned 14 while on a missions trip to Honduras) his first cellphone. He is so excited! I also made him his favorite cake (and mine too, yea!) chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. Honestly, I just can't get enough of that frosting!

Sorry this is a day late!... I started it yesterday and the rest of the day vanished somehow. Anyway, you can see I am on a "stamping things in a circle" kick. I know, I am weird but it is fun!

On another note... my eldest son Alec turns 14 today, and he is celebrating it in Honduras while on a missions trip with our church's youth group. I am so proud of him!

And did you ever have a day like I did today? The lens popped out of my prescription reading glasses a few days ago, and I really need them to see while I am coloring my stamp images in... so the twins and I go on a 55 minute drive into the big city (Augusta) and drop them off to go shopping at Wally World, we return about 30 minutes later to pick them up. Well they can't find them anywhere... and after I looked around, I see that they are still at the front desk where the lady forgot about them. (Ugh!) So a different, and very nice employee popped the lens back in and while adjusting it she cracked the lens. (Ugh again!) Oh well, accidents happen but now I have to go back next week to pick them up. Such is life, just happy I didn't forget what I needed at Wally World... nothing worse than going all the way there and forgetting something! Have a great weekend everyone!

Today's card is another one of our new 5 stamp sets "One More Scoop?". I am partial to this image because my husband and I opened a coffee/ice cream shop this past December. This little mouse got into a carton of ice cream and had a grand time!

On a personal note, our 13 year old son Alec is on a missions trip to Honduras with our church's youth group. There are about 20 kids and adults on this trip and I am nervous, and really excited for him. They left Sunday and my Husband and I got to talk with him for a few minutes last night which was wonderful.

I have been busy getting ready for the workshop we are having here tomorrow, but this stamp set has been on my table staring at me all day, so I just had to take time to stamp the furball out and make a fun card.

Today's project of the day is another one of those fun corner bookmarks. I used our new set Sky's The Limit from Brooke Smith on this and also some BoBunny pattern cardstock which is double-sided. Double-sided = double the fun!

I also made a matching envelope using the Ultimate Crafters Companion... just because I could. Ha! And it is super cute wit the pattern paper liner on the flap.

This is the 3rd project that we will be making at the workshop on Saturday. I can't wait to see you all there... I mean here!

Here is another card I used the Ultimate Crafters Companion to fold, and then I had fun stamping using our new set from Brooke Smith "Sky's The Limit".

I stamped on the die cute (nestie and cuttlebug) and used the masking technique to mask the clouds and then sponged around them. Lift off the mask and you still have white fluffy clouds!

I also die cut a large scalloped square, and outlined the edges with a fine line black pen. This is a great area to stamp another message or write your personal message.

This card features lots of glitter and crystal rhinestones for some "bling". We will be making this card at the workshop Saturday. We still have room so let me know if you would like to join us.

On another note... the family and I went on an impromptu trip to the mountains this past weekend, thus no card of the day, and had a super time together! We went whitewater rafting in the Smokey Mountains as well as hanging out at the Dollywood Splash Country water park. The weather was perfect and it was great to get away for a little while with just the 5 of us. :) I hope you are all having a good summer too!

I had so much fun making yesterday's corner bookmark that I made another one today! I used that great purple paper from BoBunny again "Peacock Lane" and FOTM stamp Anemone, and the "friends" word comes from the Friendship Quotes stamp set.

I used my Copic markers to color in the flowers; V12 and V15. Those are the only two I used but it came up looking like tree colors. I also used my colorless blender to remove some color on the petals and give it a molted effect... more like nature! Have you made one of these bookmarks yet?

Today's project I saw on splitcoaststampers.com... a cute corner bookmark. It was so cute and easy I just had to make me one, and here it is. You could do this any style and it would make a great little giftie for someone.

I used our new Sweet Of The Month set Ice Pop by Brooke Smith and colored the images in using Copic markers and added a little shine using a Stardust glitter pen.

Here are the fun project/projects that we made at he workshop on Saturday. A Card folio from a cardstock circle, two envies and two cards.

For the cards we used the new FOTM Violets that is now available in the online store. Yea!

Two envelopes we created using our new Utlimate Crafters Companion. Boy did it make these super quick and easy!

We used the new BoBunny pattern cardstock collection Peacock Lane.

Here it is all put together.

On a sorrier note, I told you about our sick cat Jackie and we are having to put her down today as she has gotten worse and is paralyzed on one side now. She is not having any fun anymore down here on earth but know that God will take good care of her upstairs. I am a bit of a mess over it so if you think of it please say a little prayer for me and my family.

Here is another little number using the soon to be released set FOTM Violet. I created my own background on the card using two different colors of Adirondack ink pads: Wild Plum and Purple Twilight. I like how they look together.

The Ultimate Crafters Companions came in today, Yea! I will get them added to the store soon.

Here is another card made using the Sneak Peek set available Saturday FOTM Violets. I am loving purple right now... all the way down to my purple painted toes!

BTW, Jackie the cat is home from the Vet. She is still night right but it is good to have her hear.

I am back from my trip to WI and a good time was had by all! But as always, it is good to be home. :) Unfortunately they had to put my sweet sheltie Sierra down while we were gone and then the night we got home our cat Jackie got terribly sick and had a couple seizures. She is having a hospital stay at the Vet's for a couple days and we are hoping that she starts eating soon so she can come home. Our animals (I am sure like yours) become some big parts of our lives and share such love with us, and it is so hard to see them sick.

But onto The Card of the Day. It is a Sneak Peek for you using a set that will be available on Saturday. It is the Flower Of The Month design my Brooke Smith called Violets. I think it is so pretty! Hope you all like it too.

Yesterday I showed you a little project that my friend Mimi made, and today's is my version. Mimi and I used different papers and inks and they both have a totally different feel, but are both the same in how stinkin cute they are. Ha! Mimi and I really had fun making these and if you come to the next free stamp club workshop June 26th you can make one too! I used some fabo GCD Studio's double sided pattern papers and the stamp sets "Butterfly Rounders" and flower of the month "Queen Anne's Lace" the little mini flower.

This is the last card of the day post until June 21st. My 3 boys and I are going to Wisconsin to visit my Uncle in Cambridge and then to Camp Hope at Lake Helen near Wausaukee. My brother Jonnie (along with other youth pastors and counselors) are having a camp for teenagers and my eldest son will attend camp, and I am going to help out my sister in-law Linda in the kitchen and the twins are going to do twin things and hopefully not get into too much trouble. Ha! Husband gets to hold down the fort here and at the Cafe and take care of all our animals. I will miss you all, but I know will come back inspired.

Card of the day 6/7/1- by Mimi

Remember I told ya that I was going to try and get together with a friend to stamp with this weekend? Well my friend Mimi was able to come over and play and here is a cute project that she made. It is a card folio (holder) made to hold 3x3 cards and envelopes. We did not have 3x3 envies on hand so we made our own.

The stamps Mimi used were Butterfly Rounders and Birthday Pixie. She colored the image in using Copic markers and added lots of sparkle with glitter pens. Too cute! I will post mine tomorrow.

Here is the card Mimi made to go inside and she used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and glitter pen. Simple but cute!

The boys and I are getting ready for our trip to WI later this week... lot's of laundry. Ugh! Hope you have a great week everyone!

Card of the day 6/4/10

Today's card of the day was made with artist Brooke Smith's FOTM Dogwood. It is pretty hard to see the details of the card but the solid image was stamped using Wheat VersaMagic ink and then I stamped the lined image in black over it. I created my own background paper on the white card front and glittered all the white parts, so it is a very glittery and sophisticated card using the neutrals and black and white.

This could be a birthday card, sympathy card, or just an all occasion card. Hope you all get to stamp this weekend... I am hoping to get together with a friend to do just that tomorrow.

Just a "heads up" by 3 boys and are going to be traveling from the 9th - 19th so no orders will be fulfilled, and there will be no card of the day until we return.
