As many of you know we have three cats that live with us, and all of them are rescue animals. They make our lives more special.
A stamping friend that I met at a recent class in Marietta emailed me with information about a "No Fleas, Flea Market" that is a fundraiser for http://www.goodmews.org/ which helps find homes for cats and kittens. I thought I would pass along the information in case you might be interested in helping out by shopping for some great stuff!
Here is their press release for more information. http://www.goodmews.org/images/pdf_files/2008FleaMarketPressRelease3.doc

What a great cause! We got our kitty from the local rescue shelter twelve years ago, and I would not hesitate to do it again in a heartbeat.
We also rescued our dachshund from a great organization called Houston Dachshund Rescue. I love these grassroots organizations that do a lot to make life better for unwanted pets.
I totally agree! Two of our cats came from the SPCA in Florida as well as our beloved dog that just passed. But now that I live out in the country.... waaaay out in the country in a county that does not have an animal rescue, we just have to look out our window to find an animal in need of a home. That is how we aquired out last two animals... or should I say the aquired us?!
