Corner Embellishment Tutorial

Take a 2x2" piece of cardstock and fold it in half one way, and then fold it in half the other way.

Fold two of the points in so that they meet in the middle to form the corner.

You can finish off your corner in lot's of ways. I attached eyelets in it and then knotted waxed through the eyelets.

I love the detail this little corner embellishment adds! A question... Do you adhere the entire remaining piece of patterned paper to the back of your cardstock, or trim it off at an angle and adhere it that way?

I check out the ideas at the store site, but somehow had missed your blog until now. Thank you for sharing your talent and ideas!

Glad you found the blog Julie! I have done both with the corner, but mostly leave it the way it is and glue it to the back of the cardstock.

I have to share with you an oopsie I did the other day. I made a top folding card and decorated it up nice and added one of these corner embellishments to the top left corner of the card. (Did not cut off the excess) Duh!... the corner embellishment got in the way of opening the card all the way.

Well, I won't do that again!
