New Ribbons

Look at these beautiful May Arts Ribbons we just added to the store. May Arts makes the best ribbons that are wonderful to the touch and easy to knot, bow, and tie. You can find these and many other designs at the website http://thestampingstudio.com/ in the "Ribbons" section.

Corner Embellishment Tutorial

Take a 2x2" piece of cardstock and fold it in half one way, and then fold it in half the other way.

Fold two of the points in so that they meet in the middle to form the corner.

You can finish off your corner in lot's of ways. I attached eyelets in it and then knotted waxed through the eyelets.

Mini Clipboard

Isn't this mini clipboard the cutest? This is one of the projects that we made yesterday at our monthly Stamp Club Workshop.

The idea came from the current issue of Stampington & Co. Take Ten publication. (Spring 2008, pages 68-69 by DianeZechman) http://http://www.stampington.com/html/tss_take_ten.html I took the idea and used some of my favorite rubber stamps to create my version. They are really super to make and if you add a strong magnet to the back they make great magnets, that you can clip a note or photograph to. I think they are a great gift item.

Today I am working on doing step-by-step tutorials of all three projects that we made at the workshop. I will let you know as soon as they are uploaded to the website. In the meantime here is a short tutorial on how to make the super cute corner embellishment.
