The kids have been fed, are ready for bed and Husband is in the process of cooking me a steak which gave me a few minutes to whip out a card real quick using our new stamps. I also used our new Dill paper pad from SEI. This isn't the best photo and the colors are a little off because it is dark right now but I think it came out cute. I used my Versamagic Dew Drops to ink the stamp up and also used the cloud image from the "A Little Bird" set that just gave the project the final touch. You know I will be dreaming about how else to use our new stamp images!
The new stamp sets are here!! They just arrived at the Studio and I have added them to the online store, you can find them in the "READY SET STAMPS" section of the store.

I hope I get to play with these today... I am off to pick up the boys in a few minutes and then onto piano and guitar lessons, and straight after that the twins have tumbling and then I have not even thought about what to do for dinner. I hope I am not too pooped to stamp!

Sneak Peek #4, 3/30/09

Here is another highly anticipated Rory the Bird stamp set by Brooke Smith... I just love this little guy! Here is joined with his butterfly fly friend and fresh cut flowers. I am sure, in addition to the sayings that are included, you will find tons of other saying to use with this set, and the fence is a great image to use with other stamp sets that you may already have. This is a great set to celebrate spring with!

FOTM Samples Early!

Suzanne Milam is one of our Design Team members and she has been busy creating samples using our new FOTM images. She is one of the few that recieved the new stamp sets ahead of time and had to keep them under wraps until they are unveiled each month. Suzanne is a very talented rubber stamper and I just love this month FOTM samples so much that I am going to show them to you even before I debute the stamp set tomorrow. So I guess that means that I am terrible at keeping a secret and that I am really debuting it today! So I like to live on the edge... what can I say. Ha! Here are Suzannes samples and I hope you like the FOTM, it is NOW available in our store in the "Rubber Stamps Flower and Foliage" section.

Hopefully today - bring pencils/chalks.

Just a quick note to tell you that the SEI papers that were suppose to arrive yesterday did not... I will let you know if they come today and post them to the website.

I am busy setting up for our Stamp Club Workshop tomorrow. If you are coming please bring your colored pencils or chalks... whichever you like to color with the most. I look forward to seeing everyone!

Design Team Try Outs 2009

Design Team Try Outs 2009

You are invited and encouraged to try out for The Stamping Studio Design Team. Try Outs will run from March 30th through April 30th.

I guess I should first tell you what the purpose of our design team is, so you can decide if you would like to get involved! Our design teams purpose is to first inspire our customers to use their The Stamping Studio (TSS ) stamps by showing them what fun and cool things we can make with them. The other purpose is to get the TSS’s name out into the general public so they will visit our store and add lot’s of TSS stamps to their collection! To do that we aspire to get published in rubber stamping/scrapbooking/paper crafting magazines and publications.

We do this by having bi-monthly “challenges” that are given to the Design Team (DT) by myself (Hi I’m Melissa owner of TSS… waving). These challenges are a fun way to have a cohesive theme to our projects. You will be asked to make 4-5 projects inside the given theme which can include cards, scrapbook pages, anything paper craft-y made with our TSS stamps. We are also asking that you use a color theme/combo in all the projects in a challenge. I have found that magazines like a “grouping” of projects with a color theme. When you are completed with your projects you will then take a photo or scan of the projects and upload them into your TSS gallery and then mail them off to a specified publication. I would encourage you to make a copy of each card/project for yourself to keep. You need to include simple instructions for your project as well as a supply list defiantly including stamp credits to TSS. (This is the way we get our name out there!)

What you get in return is to be part of a fun challenging team of paper crafters just like yourself and $30.00 in FREE rubber stamps for each challenge that you participate in. You will also get free shipping on any other product from the TSS store, as long as your free stamps and the products, ship together. As you know this can be a big savings with shipping prices the way they are! We are also going to set up a yahoo email group for DT members to talk with each other, to bounce off idea’s with and to fellowship with.

So are you ready to try out?! OK, so here is what you do. Create 4-5 projects for your Try Outs and use a color combo for all of the projects. The color combo can be as easy as black and white, or put 4 or 5 colors together as long as you use all those same colors on each project. You can make cards, scrapbook pages, alter something, whatever you like. Then take a photo or scan of your projects (one at a time) and upload them to a gallery you will start for the purpose of your Try Outs. To create a gallery go to
www.TheStampingStudio.com and click on the link “Studios by TSS Stampers” and click on “Want your own Studio?” and it will walk you through the steps. ***Please name your studio with your Name + DT Try Outs 2009. Please upload these projects between the dates of March 30th and April 30th. Please create something new for your Try Outs, and do not submit anything you have previously submitted for publication. Also, please keep these Try Out projects as if you are chosen for the DT they will be considered our first challenge and thus will be submitted to a publication afterwards and you will be compensated the $30.00 in FREE TSS stamps (retail value). Please use only TSS stamps for your Try Outs.

If you have any questions at all please ask them here at the blog
www.TheStampingStudioBlog.BlogSpot.com or email me personally at Melissa@thestampingstudio.com.

Sneak Peek #2, 3/25/09

Here is our next new stamp set "Music Quotes", of course it has more than just music quotes! The cute little guitar and bird have a wonderful appeal to them don't they?

The top quote "When the words leave off, music begins" is by Heinrich Heine, and then other quote, which is my personal favorite "Life is one grand sweet song, so start the music" is a quote by none other than Ronald Reagan. These images will defiantly go with Monday's Sneak Peek "Musical borders". One big happy "stampy family" of images! OK I am a little slap happy... have not had my coffee yet this morning. Must get coffee........

Sneak Peek #1 3/23/09

Here it is our first Sneak Peek stamp set Musical Borders. I am really excited about having music/note images to stamp with and you may have noticed that this butterfly matches the ones in our Butterfly Rounders stamp set that debuted last month.

The two bottom borders were sized to stamp horizontal on your card, which means they are a bit smaller than 5.5". The smaller border image was sized to stamp on the card vertically so it measures a bit smaller than 4.25" The notes are just an extra for you to stamp on your backgrounds or "here and there" where ever you would like. I hope you all "likey"!

On another "note" (har!) I wanted you to know that we are going to debut our Flower Of The Month (FOTM) stamp set a few days early this month on the 28th of March. That is also the date of our next Stamp Club Workshop so if you plan on attending that you will be able to purchase it as well.

Hi Stampers and Scrappers,

We have some exciting things coming up here at the Studio! The first one I already let you know about.... 4 new stamp sets. Yea! I will give you the first Sneak Peek on Monday.

The 2nd thing is that I just ordered some great new paper packs from SEI which is a new line for us and I am so excited! I have on order;

Mimosa collection pack 12x12
Bridgeport collection pack 12x12
Windsor 8x8 collection pad
Dill 4.5x6.5 paper pad

You can check these designs out at the SEI website; http://www.shopsei.com/ I also read at their website that they compensate you when you get published and use their paper. How cool is that?

To make room for these new paper collections I have put ALL BasicGrey 12x12 and 6x6 paper collections on sale for HALF PRICE. Can you believe it? Me either but I do need the room, so this is your opportunity to get the luscious BasicGrey papers at a great price. Don't forget to tell your friends! The HALF PRICE papers can be found at the 2nd to the last catagory at the store www.thestampingstudio.com in the "4-Sale Close outs" catagory.
