Stamp Club this Saturday 5/17/08

Here is a preview of one of the 3 projects we are going to make this Saturday at our monthly Stamp Club meeting. Everyone is invited to this free event here at the Studio in Lincolnton GA which is about 45 minutes north of Augusta Ga. Just give a shout and I will give you more details. In addition to this cute gift card/money holder, we are going to make a ribbon adorned card (per Mimi's request!) and an adorable mint/treat holder in a shape of a mini purse that Suzanne turned me onto. It is just the cutest thing!
If you are coming to the workshop, in addition to your basic craft supplies including scissors and glue, you will want to bring the following if you have them;
Mega scalloped circle punch
Glue dots
stapler
Scor-It board - large or small (or a ruler and bone folder)
quickie glue pen

Stamps and inks we are going to use;
Adirondacks - Terra Cotta, Red Pepper, Lettuce
Brilliance Lime pearlescent
#RSSSRM Abundant Blessings
#RSSMB23 Favorite Florals
#RSSMB16 It's Good to be Queen

If you do not live close to the Studio and can't make the workshop, no worries, I will post the projects to the blog the week after the workshop. We wouldn't want you to miss out!

I look forward to stamping with all of you!

New Discovery!

Hey stamping friends,
I am so excited!.... I discovered that you can emboss overhead transparency sheets and they look so cool. I had a chance to stamp this morning and I grabbed a clear transparency sheet and walked by my Cuttlebug machine and thought.... I wonder how it would look embossed. I was pleasantly surprised! It is hard to photograph the embossing on the clear sheets but I think you get the idea and it is really impressive looking on a finished card. So give it try yourself and let me know what you think!

Suzanne's DT Challenge Projects

Design team member Suzanne Milam (and rubber stamp designer) just added her Design Team challenge projects to the website. Here is a preview of one of the cards and if you look closely you will see that the flower was created from a mini cupcake liner that she fringed with scissors. How clever is that?!!
You can view all of Suzanne's challenge projects in her gallery that can be found in the "Studios by TSS Stampers" section of the website http://www.thestampingstudio.com/ and hers is the 3rd one down "Suzanne M" or click here; http://64.53.24.48/cgi-bin/a_gall.exe?page=1&show_gallery=go&gallery_id=89

Sneak Peek 2

Here is your Sneaky Peaky for today!

All of these sayings are from Suzanne Milam and I just love, love the saying "This is more than a card it's a hug with a fold in the middle". That is going to be a great one to use! I also love the little orchid image.

Check back tomorrow for another Sneak Peak.

Added Clips to Etsty Store

Here are some cute Jumbo Binder Clips that I added to my Esty store. They stand almost 4" tall and I like to use them as photo holders. They would look great on a mantel or just standing on your desk. They can also be used as regular binder clips and can hold up to 1". They make a wonderful gift item... or split them up to make 3 gift items for your friends, or how about teachers?

You can accecss my etsty store from the link on upper right side of the blog or http://StudioGirl.etsy.com

New Rubber

I am so excited to announce we have 6 new stamps set on the way! These were made in collaboration with Suzanne Milam (she did all the words, phrases, and fonts!) and are just charming and I can't wait to stamp with them.

Here is a Sneak Peek for today and will give you anther one tomorrow, so check back!
This is called "Take Joy" and has a wonderful silhouette of a girl holding a dove and a butterfly is joining in on the fun. The butterfly can be used with the girl, or as a separate image. The girl and flying friends measure about 3x2.5 and the saying 3x1.25.
