Sorry I got behind on "the card of the day"! Where are these "dog days of summer" at? I seem to be busier than ever, which is really a good thing. :)
I used our "Kim" stamp set again, along with "Sing", but used only two colors; black and VersaMagic Sea Breeze.

Scramp Camp review
Angela from the Atlanta Scrapbook Examiner contacted me about doing a review/article on our Scramp Camp even coming up in Sept. I was so excited for the opportunity to have her share what a great time we have! Here is the link to the finished article http://www.examiner.com/x-47953-Atlanta-Scrapbooking-Examiner If you attended last years Scramp Camp your "mug" and other parts of ya... might be in the article!
Thank you Angela and Atlanta Scrapbook Examiner!

I am still playing around with heat embossing and my white embossing powder. This one I heat embossed the FOTM Forget Me Nots using Versamark ink and white embossing powder, and over that I used a foam applicator to rub ink over that. So great cardstock, pattern papers (GCD Studio's) satin ribbon and rhinestones finish off the card.

Wooden block project by Mimi
Great use for old wooden blocks! My stamping friend Mimi sent me this great project she made using wooden blocks she had leftover after unmounting her wood mounted stamps. Great idea Mimi!
She covered the blocks with pattern paper and then used her Cricut to cut out lettering she adhered over the pattern paper. You could just as easily stamp the lettering if you have alphabet stamps.

Card of the day 5/6/10
Today's card of the day utilized the heat embossing technique. I have not done that in forever! It is one of the first things I learned how to do when I started stamping about 13 years ago and doing it again today reminded me how much fun it is, and what a beautiful effect it gives to your projects.
The flower is FOTM "Dogwood" stamp set and that is what I heat embossed in white powder, then I went back and daubed on white ink. The saying is from the set "Mother's" which is perfect for Mother's Day or any other day your want to celebrate your Mama.

Card of the day 5/4/10
Today's card of the day holds a fun little gift... earrings! This is an easel card that is longer in the front than in the back so that the weight of the earrings won't topple it over. I used the Happy Birthday Cupcake set (image and saying) for this design and colored the image in using Copic markers.
