Saturday's workshop canceled

I am sorry to inform you that I need to cancel Saturday's stamp club workshop. My wonderful Grandma Helen passed away yesterday at the age of 90, and I am going to fly to WI to attend her funeral.

I am sorry to disappoint you all but will look forward to seeing you all next month for the next Stamp Club Workshop on March 27th.

Please pass the word on about the cancellation. Thanks!

Monday 2/21/10 Card of the day

Here is today's card of the day... I decided to change up the colors this week and used GCD's Smoothie Shoppe designs and our FOTM (Flower Of The Month) stamp set Forget Me Nots. This was a super easy and fast card.

Friday 2/19/10 Card of the Month

Here is today's card using Dionne's stamp set "Sweet Cakes" and colored using Copic markers. I am using the same GCD Studios papers that I have been using all week long but veered from the template. I am still loving these bright spring colors!

Card of the Day 2/18/10

Here is today's COTD (Card of the Day) using the stamp set "Gift Giving Girl" which I of course colored in with my Copics. This is a great set for thank you cards and you can really "glam" her up if you want.

I am so happy that I got a lot of coloring done yesterday as I was running the boys around. I take them to piano/guitar/art lessons on Wednesdays after school and have about an hour and a half to kill waiting for them, so I stamped up some images, grabbed my Copic markers that matched my papers I knew I was going to work with and I got a ton of coloring done in my car. I usually bring a book but this was "accomplishing" something and now I have some great colored images to make into cards. Yea!

Card-s of the Day

OK, so I have been wanting to make more cards lately. I know you probably think that I get to sit around and make cards all day, every day, but the truth is that most of the time I make projects for specific purposes and upcoming events and do not get much time to just stamp for fun. (I know... poor me. Ha!)

So I have been thinking about posting a card every day to the blog/facebook page, but have had reservations as life tends to get in the way and I don't want to let everyone down one day because I don't post a card. Well, I am going to go for it anyway and hopefully I won't disappoint you. My whole purpose in this is to stamp more, thus becoming a better stamper, and have more fun with my stamp collection, and maybe inspire you all to stamp more too. Hopefully there won't be many days that I miss a card. (Please pray for me... Ha!)

I actually started this yesterday on Facebook with the baby carriage card. I am using pattern paper from GCD Studio's and am going to keep making cards with it until it is either all gone, or I get distracted with some other wonderful pattern paper. :)
Today's card was stamped using our FOTM image Daffodil and colored using Copics - Y11, Y21, YG03, YG05, and a little outlining with C1
This sample was stamped using Dionne's image Baby Carriage and colored using Copics; Y11, Y21, BG01, BG05, C1, and C7
Please keep checking back for the Card Of The Day!

Wendy's DT Challenge samples, Dionne challeng

You are in for a treat for the eyes with these wonderful samples from our DT member Wendy Sebesta. Here is what she says about this challenge.

This month it was a simple assignment.....we had to use stamp sets that were the creations of Dionne, an amazing artist with unique drawings that have been an ongoing collection of stamp sets at TSS. Go check out her blog.....you won't be disappointed. I love these gorgeous stamp sets! I colored the images with colored pencils and then did some blending with odorless mineral spirits. This is actually something I have not done before, so it was fun to experiment with something new!
