More Snowdrop FOTM samples

Hi Stampers and Scrappers,
I found time to play with our new Flower Of The Month stamp Snowdrop this weekend and here is what I have to show for it.

I know that Snowdrops are a white flower but I decided to color mine anyway. Such a rebel! I used my Dove blending pen and ink pads to add the color and then outlined the colored image using a light gray marker.

I embellished the top left corner with the a handmade corner, and you can click on the tutorial at the left side of this blog for more details on how to accomplish that.Isn't this May Arts ribbon great?! It is soft and fluffy and gives great texture to this card.To add my saying I stamped it on a green strip and corner rounded the two left sides and used two eyelets on the right side to add it to my card. This is a card I came up with that I call the "Pull Up" card. You start out with a cardstock base 4.25x10.5 and score it one side at 4.5" and then from the other side 3.5". I just used white card stock for the base and then added two different patterns from the BasicGrey "Eva" 6 " paper pad. I used the stamp set "Suzanne's Sentiments" for the saying. It has a great font and is nice and skinny.I used the scalloped square Nestabilities die and the Paisley embossing folder to give the pretty square some depth and texture. I also used my paper piercer to poke some holes along the white card stock edge. Little details really make your projects fun and interesting.I used some torn edged pattern paper on this design. Torn card stock is not as "in style" as it used to be unless you roll the edges like I did here. I used my finger nail to scrap across the edge to bend it and get this distressed look. I think I like it!

One of the stamp sets that I get asked about it quite a bit is the "Hairy Doodle" background stamp set. It looks kind of funny but I love to use it... I used the edges of one of the "Hairy Doodle image just around the edges of the circle to give it this fun look.

I also did this same technique for the stamped white card stock layer.I had stamped and colored all of these Snowdrop images at one time and had one left and wanted to do something different so I cut it up into four pieces and glued it to a green background. I think it kind of looks like a window. You don't even have to line the cut up pieces evenly, I liked mine off center a bit.

Here is that "Hairy Doodle" set again. I used the largest "Hairy Doodle" image as the background image for the saying "God bless you" stamp from Roanne Mathias.

I also used a corner embellishment on this card, but knotted a sheer ribbon through the holes instead of the waxed linen.
